Tom Reinders, A Water Treatment Engineer at Canadian Natural with over 10 years’ experience in the oil and natural gas sector will be presenting on Thermal Technologies at CNRL.
As a Technology Development Engineer with Canadian Natural, Tom’s role is to de-risk water technologies for in situ oil sands operations. Tom’s career began in the municipal water industry and then shifted to become part of the oil and natural gas industry. His broad experience includes collaborative work with industry partners and academia, including research and technology development. Tom is a pilot lead in the Water Technology Development Centre (WTDC), a world-class facility developed by a number of like-minded oil sands producers to test and advance water technologies development and implementation, sharing risks and costs. Tom has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Masters of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia.
