Innovative physical methods of enhanced oil recovery such as Electro Acoustic Technology (EAT) and Electrohydraulic ("Shockwave") Technology are based on the use of physical (acoustic) fields, instead of matter to affect the reservoir. An acoustic wave is caused in the reservoir depending on the applied solution the following effects can be achieved: reduction of skin damage, dissolution of resins, asphaltenes and paraffins; reduction of oil viscosity and increasing the fluid penetration into capillaries, which results in increased production and recovery of oil. The EAT technique can be complimentary to existing EOR programs and have demonstrated proven results in more than 300 wells, increasing production on average by more than 100%, with effects lasting up to 24 months. This has allowed well operators to gain capital efficiencies and increase ultimate recoveries, thereby positively affecting their bottom line. These techniques offer oil companies a solution to optimize current production without having to drill new wells. Please join this informative presentation to learn more about how the EAT, applied locally in the Viking formation in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin can help increase your production, while reducing your drilling and completions costs.
