Risk Analysis – A Critical Skill

Given the current environment in the Oil & Gas industry, every decision must be one that has a positive impact for any given company. Simply managing a project and optimizing processes isn’t always enough to ensure that the right decisions are being made, or that we will be profitable. Managing the risk involved with large projects and decisions is an ever growing need in our industry, and can have significant impacts on any project. As the Senior Risk Advisor to Brion Energy, Andy Teskey will give us his perspective on risk management and how a ‘risk culture’ is critical to the success of an organization. Andy has applied his military risk assessment background to the Oil and Gas business within Brion Energy, and although Andy’s risk assessment no longer involves dealing with enemy threats, his role absolutely has an impact on the lives of those working on projects at Brion Energy.
