Hanson is a fourth-year Chemical Engineering student with a minor in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Calgary. As the President of PES, he is dedicated to enhancing student connections with the energy industry through impactful events, mentorship opportunities, and professional development initiatives. Hanson brings a wealth of experience from both office and field settings, gained through internships in completions engineering and safety roles. Over the past three years, his involvement with PES has allowed him to contribute to organizing industry mixers, resume review sessions, and community-building events. Beyond PES, Hanson is a member of the University of Calgary rowing team and enjoys travelling, basketball, and hiking in his free time. Passionate about the future of energy, he is committed to fostering a deeper understanding of the industry’s evolving landscape among his peers.
